To decide who arrived first
A freedom so loudly spoken
By those who’ve never felt it
Soldiers of today
Fighting for a tomorrow
Most will never get to see
The sunrise once again
All much too young
To know what’s right or wrong
Old enough to march and aim
To fight to their very last breath
There’s no real need to teach them
The streets will take care of that
Mommy never told you who to be
Never held you tight enough
A hundred men buy the world
With the suffering of a billion others
Their wallets full of blood
And tears that are not their own
How far are we willing to go
Before we can’t find our way back
Soon enough we will destroy
All we’ve imagined and created
